津波にのまれた男性・大谷孝志は屋根の破片に乗って福島沖の海を漂流していた。妻・恭子は津波の犠牲になった。耐え難い寒さ、飢えと渇き、沈み始める屋根。そして目の前で原発が爆発。死を覚悟するたびに希望をつなぐ品が奇跡のように漂着した。「恭子、生きろというのか」。
