Sign in to submit correctionRumi Yonezawa is a Japanese former idol, known as a 3rd generation member of AKB48. She joined the group in 2006 and was active as a kenkyuusei before being promoted to Team K, contributing to AKB48’s early development through theater performances and group activities during its rise in popularity. Yonezawa was known for her calm personality and solid performances, supporting the group during its formative and growth periods. In 2012, she was involved in a widely reported scandal related to private photos and contact with an external relationship, which led to her suspension and subsequent withdrawal from the group. After leaving AKB48, she stepped away from the entertainment industry, and little public information is available about her later activities.
