Minami Takahashi is a Japanese singer, television personality, and former idol, best known as one of the most important figures in AKB48 history. She joined as a 1st generation member in 2005 and became the group’s first General Manager (総監督), playing a crucial leadership role in shaping AKB48’s structure, discipline, and team spirit. Known for her strong sense of responsibility and emotional speeches, she was central to the group’s growth during its rise to national fame, consistently participating in senbatsu and ranking highly in Senbatsu Sousenkyo elections. Her leadership extended across the entire 48 Group, influencing younger members and sister groups.
