Hitomi Komatani is a Japanese former idol and singer, known as a 1st generation member of AKB48. She joined the group in 2005 and was active during its early theater era, contributing to the foundation of AKB48 in its formative years. Although she was part of the original lineup, her time in AKB48 was relatively short, as she graduated in 2008 before the group’s major rise in popularity. In 2009, she returned to the idol scene as a founding member of SDN48, a sister group aimed at a more mature audience. She remained with SDN48 until its disbandment in 2012, participating in its core activities. After her idol career, she gradually stepped away from the entertainment industry, and public information about her later activities remains limited.
