Tomomi Kaneko is a Japanese gravure idol and former idol, known as a 4th generation member of AKB48. She joined the group in 2007 and was active as a kenkyuusei during AKB48’s rapid expansion period, participating mainly in theater performances and supporting roles as the group’s popularity grew. She did not advance to a prominent position within the group and left AKB48 after a relatively short time. After her departure, Kaneko became more widely known for her work as a gravure idol, gaining attention for her appearances in magazines and media, and building a career centered around modeling and entertainment.
